You have a twisted mind, Scott. I'm a little uneasy working down the hall from you.
But seriously, there are some areas of this that are very nicely rendered.

Nice job, Scott---Magenta lightning totally rocks! I have to say that I'm not sure about the positioning of the hand coming out of the ground, though.

Awww Yeah. Best. Painting. Ever.

Oh man, this made my morning! I can't wait for Guitar Hero II! I love how he's a combination of all those great 80s metal band albumn covers! Rad!!

The perspective, both atmospheric and otherwise clearly indicate that the hand is coming out of the ground several feet behind him.

Doesn't matter. People tend to read images iconically. Especially in this case---it's centered between his legs, making it seem carefully placed.

I'm just saying, if the hand is supposed to be there, fine. But if it's an accident, it's an easy problem to fix.

Beautiful rendering Scott. My favorite of yours by far! I agree with Sam on the position of the hand. It's a little disturbing... well... it goes well with the rest I guess! :)

how about we settle on "akward tangent" to describe the hand.

Awesome!
I hadn't realized that "scott" was you, because of the icon I thought it was just some goofy third party viewer that liked defending your work.

I thought this was cool, and then I noticed thet he/she is playing a guitar hero guitar, and it instantly became, as Ryan Wood said, the best painting ever!
