Very cool pic with equally cool description.

Love: the lighting and color shoices, overall composition are very fun to look at.

Not so love: the out side of the creature going into the background doesn't seem to match the opening in his mouth. I think if you widened the mouth and changed the teeth so they are not all pointing the same direction, it would give the creature more mass and depth, at the same time, I think the composition with the current shapes may work better, it just seems like the creature is coming right at you and then his teeth are all twisted to the left, and the back teeth seem like they should be higher perspective wise from the way the outside of the creature looks. hope that makes sense...

Also I would like to see a little more detail ont he diver.
