Very late creatures of the deep entry

I think I set a new record for the latest entry. But I'm only a couple of months late.

17 hours to process the splash particles (still needs more splash), 2 hours to render.

Hey, that's pretty cool. Needs more shine on the tongue but what do I know about this 3-D art? Nonetheless, it's freaking tight.

Now that all of the entries are in we can have the final cage match which will pit the sea creatures vs. the misfit toys. This monster may be tip the scales to the sea creatures as long as he doesn't let "Programmer Ken" get him in a headlock. That would lead to several more hours of processing splash particles.

Nice to see someone contributing something a bit different than the rest. Well done!

That's a good looking entry! Water is very believeable, which I imagine is not easy to do. Happy New Year!

Very cool. Also, those shadows in his mouth are too dark and black. In a daylight environment like this, especially with that much water, there would be more reflected light, and the shadows would probably be bluish green...

Have you thought about using a specular map for the textures on him to make him look wet?

Excellent work on the water. It must have taken a lot of time to get it to look that realistic.
