Avalanche is a game development studio. We created the Tak and the Power of Juju property for Nickelodeon and we were recently acquired by Disney. We are currently creating new properties and developing games based on Disney Feature Animation films.
This blog is a vehicle to help keep us creatively fresh and help us sharpen our skills... but mostly for fun.
Is it supposed to be a caricature of Walter? I love it, I think the texture and the colors are beatiful. I would say possibly a little more contrast where he meets the background would help tie him to it, just subtle though. very well drawn, Walter will be pleased.
Very Cool! I know there is a subject matter similarity but the artistic style as well reminds me of those old album covers and art from the psychedelic era.
You already know I think this is great. However, I'd like to point out how effectively you also used the design exercise. Great sense of line and shape throughout this whole piece.
Love it! The line quality is so great - the design- everything. Reminds me of the joke" This mushroom walks into a bar and asks for a drink. Bartender says 'no way'. Mushroom says, "why not? I'm a fungi (fun guy)!" I just made this entire blog 20 times cornier...so sorry
